Real Madrid are keeping tabs on 16-year-old Uruguayan midfielder Germán Barbas Diaz from Peñarol, who has a release clause of just €12m and could be consider for a move to the club at a young age like compatriot Federico Valverde, UFABET reported on Tuesday.

Barbas made his debut for Peñarol earlier this year against Progreso, becoming the second-youngest player in the Uruguayan league. He also played for Uruguay’s Under-19 team at the South American Championship.
His journey to this point began at the age of 12 when he joined Penarol’s youth academy.
